Meesho selling without GST: what Meesho says
Meesho’s supplier site says “Don’t have a GSTIN? You can still sell on Meesho.” and asks non-GST sellers for an “Enrolment ID / UIN” where GST sellers give a GSTIN (supplier.meesho.com and How it works, read 3 and 11 Oct 2026). The rest of the sign-up is the same: an active bank account, then your first catalog. Registering is free.
The steps from “Start Selling” to the first catalog are in our Meesho seller registration guide; this page covers only what changes without a GSTIN.
Hinglish mein: Meesho par bina GST ke bechna ho sakta hai. GSTIN ki jagah Enrolment ID / UIN daaliye, bank account jodiye, aur catalog upload kariye. Bas do baatein yaad rakhiye: delivery apne state ke andar, aur Meesho Ads nahi milenge.
Enrollment ID for Meesho: where it comes from
The Enrolment ID is a GST number for sellers who are not GST-registered; you get it from the GST portal, not from Meesho. Meesho only asks for it at sign-up. The conditions attached to it, including any turnover limit, are set by GST law, so read them on the GST portal (or ask your accountant) on the day you apply. We do not print a turnover limit here.
Searching “enrolment id” for another marketplace? Each one sets its own sign-up rules; check that marketplace’s seller page. Our Meesho seller hub covers Meesho only.
Meesho seller without GST: the two limits
Meesho states two differences for sellers without a Regular GSTIN.
- Deliveries within your state. On its How it works page Meesho promises GST sellers its lowest shipping cost “across India” and non-GST sellers “within the state” (read 4 Oct 2026). Price for buyers in your own state.
- No Meesho Ads. Ads are “Currently, not available for sellers who don’t have a Regular GSTIN” (supplier.meesho.com, read 11 Oct 2026). Your catalogs compete on organic placement only; see the Meesho Ads guide for what that gives up.
Meesho states its 0% commission for suppliers across all product categories (read 11 Oct 2026); the Meesho commission calculator shows what each piece earns. Label printing works the same too: the Meesho label crop tool cuts the panel’s label to thermal size.
Does Meesho need a GST number later?
None of the Meesho pages we read says you must switch, but the two limits above are the usual reasons to get a GSTIN: selling to buyers outside your state and running Meesho Ads. Whether the law requires you to register is a turnover question for the GST portal or your accountant, not for Meesho.
Meesho’s learning hub has a lesson on updating your credentials and GSTIN; follow it, or raise a Support ticket in the panel, when you have one. The tax rate you then charge on clothes is on our GST on clothes page.
