💡 Which DPI to pick: 150 DPI for digital sharing or draft prints. 300 DPI is the standard for any printed material — labels, catalogs, banners, brochures. 600 DPI for high-end posters and fine-art prints. Going above 300 DPI for normal documents wastes file size.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is A4 size in pixels?+

A4 size in pixels depends on DPI (print resolution). The most common values: 72 DPI: 595 × 842 px (web/screen), 150 DPI: 1240 × 1754 px (digital docs), 300 DPI: 2480 × 3508 px (standard print quality), 600 DPI: 4960 × 7016 px (premium poster). For any printed output, use 300 DPI.

What is the standard A4 size in mm and inches?+

A4 paper is 210 × 297 mm (21 × 29.7 cm) or 8.27 × 11.69 inches. This is the ISO 216 international standard used in India, UK, EU, Japan, Australia, and most of the world. (The USA uses Letter size, 216 × 279 mm, instead.)

How do I resize a photo to A4 in pixels?+

Upload your photo, pick portrait or landscape, then pick 300 DPI for print or 150 DPI for digital. The tool auto-resizes to the exact pixel dimensions. Use Fit mode if you want the whole image visible (with white padding on edges if aspect ratio doesn't match). Use Cover mode if you want no padding (edges will be cropped to fill the A4 rectangle).

Is the output ready for printing?+

Yes. The 300 DPI output is the print industry standard — any home or commercial printer (HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, photocopy shops) accepts these files at native A4 size. The PDF output is sized exactly to A4 dimensions so the printer doesn't scale or fit-to-page (which can cause unwanted resizing).

What's the difference between A4 and Letter size?+

A4 (210 × 297 mm) is the international ISO standard used in India, UK, EU, Australia, etc. Letter (216 × 279 mm or 8.5 × 11 inches) is the US/Canada standard. They're slightly different — a document made for A4 will overflow Letter size by ~6 mm in width and be short by ~18 mm in height. Always check which standard your printer expects before printing.

Can I make a multi-page PDF?+

This tool produces a single-page A4 PDF per upload. For multi-page catalog PDFs, use Images to PDF — upload multiple images and merge into one paginated PDF.

Is the photo uploaded anywhere?+

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your photo never reaches our server.
