Meesho catalog rejected: find the QC error and fix it

By StitchMagic team · Last checked and updated 4 October 2026

A rejected Meesho catalog — status “QC Failed” — means Meesho’s Quality Check team raised a listing error on it: Wrong Category, Duplicate SKU ID and Product ID, SKU ID, Image Link, Product Description or Image Upload, or another reason. To fix a bulk catalog (Meesho learning hub, read 4 October 2026):

  1. Download the error file from the QC Error page.
  2. Read the Error Message column.
  3. Correct your original file.
  4. Press “upload new file”. A single catalog is fixed in Catalog Upload.

Why it failed

Meesho catalog rejected reasons: the six QC errors

Meesho’s QC lesson lists six errors, and says QC can also fail “for any of these or other reasons”. Only two are image errors, so a rejection is not always about the photo.

Branded products need brand approval first

Raise a ticket from Support → “view all” under Cataloging & Pricing → “Our brand is not shown in drop down while listing the product” with your brand documents. Meesho says the brand goes live 3 working days after the ticket (learning hub, 4 October 2026).

Some products cannot be listed at all

Meesho bars dangerous products, weapons, narcotic drugs, counterfeits, obscene content, prescription medicines, alcohol, tobacco, fireworks and currency; images “must pass a decency test to go live” (What you can and cannot sell, 4 October 2026). Review the legal and policies section in the panel before uploading.

“Product is disabled due to mismatch between image & description”

Sellers search this message word for word (Google Search Console, Jul–Oct 2026). It ends “kindly re-upload in the right category with correct details”, which points at two of Meesho’s six errors: Wrong Category and Product Description. Check that the category and every detail describe what the photo shows, then re-upload as below. Catalogs that are not live, or not visible in the shop, have usually not passed QC yet: Meesho says a catalog “will then become live once it passes the Quality Check”.

The fix

How to fix a Meesho QC error and resubmit

Meesho’s route for a bulk catalog: download the error file, read the Error Message column, correct your original file, and upload it again from the QC Error page (QC lesson, read 4 October 2026). If your panel uses different labels, follow the screen.
  1. 1

    Download the error file

Meesho: “download the error file on the Supplier Panel”. Keep an untouched copy to compare with what you resubmit.

You should see: a spreadsheet of the catalog’s products, with the failing rows marked.

  2. 2

Find the error in the Error Tab and Fill-this Tab

Errors are in the Error Status and Error Message columns. Read each row’s message before changing anything.

You should see: one row per product, the failing ones marked in Error Status.

  3. 3

Fix your original file, not a new one

“Make changes to your original file”. Fill every red-topped (mandatory) column and as many green-topped ones as you can; see our bulk product upload guide.

You should see: no empty red-topped cells in the rows that failed.

  4. 4

    Re-make broken image links

Upload the photos again in Images Bulk Upload and paste the new links. Meesho publishes no pixel size; our Meesho image guide covers what it does say.

You should see: each image link opening the right photo.

  5. 5

Save and press “upload new file”

Meesho: “save the file and update it by going back to the QC Error Page and clicking on ‘upload new file’”.

You should see: the catalog back in Quality Check; it goes live once it passes.

  6. 6

    Single catalog, or still stuck

A single catalog is fixed “directly” in the Catalog Upload section. For anything unclear, go to Support → Raise a Ticket.

You should see: a ticket under Support for your catalog.

Avoid a second QC Failed

Mistakes that get a Meesho catalog rejected again

Read the Error Message before you change anything. A fix aimed at the wrong error comes back QC Failed.

Uploading the rejected products again as a new catalog

Fix the original file and use “upload new file”; a fresh copy with the same SKU IDs risks the Duplicate SKU ID and Product ID Error.

Leaving red-topped columns blank

They are mandatory.

Pasting image links from anywhere else

Generate the links in Images Bulk Upload.

Listing a branded product before brand approval

Raise the brand ticket first; Meesho says the brand goes live 3 working days after it.

Following image sizes from a blog as Meesho’s rule

Use the image guidelines inside the Supplier Panel.

For the next catalog: the Meesho image resizer outputs square 1000 × 1000, 800 × 800 or 500 × 500 px JPGs on white, and the HSN code finder looks up HSN codes for apparel, footwear, accessories and jewellery. Neither size is a Meesho rule: check the guidelines in your panel. For bulk sheets, see Meesho bulk listing; for printing the label once orders come in, the Meesho label crop tool. Every other Meesho stage is in our Meesho seller guides.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my Meesho catalog rejected?

Because Meesho’s Quality Check team raised a listing error on it. Meesho names six: Wrong Category Error, Duplicate SKU ID and Product ID Error, SKU ID error, Image Link Error, Product Description Error and Image Upload Error, and says QC can also fail for other reasons (Meesho learning hub, read 4 October 2026).

What does QC Failed mean on Meesho?

It means the catalog did not pass Meesho’s Quality Check and is not live yet. Meesho says the catalog becomes live once it passes the Quality Check, so fix the error and upload again (Meesho learning hub, read 4 October 2026).

How do I fix a QC error in a Meesho bulk upload?

Download the error file from the Supplier Panel, read the Error Status and Error Message columns in the Error Tab and Fill-this Tab, correct your original file, save it, and click "upload new file" on the QC Error page. Single catalogs are fixed in the Catalog Upload section (Meesho learning hub, read 4 October 2026).

How long does Meesho QC take?

Meesho’s QC lesson does not state a time (read 4 October 2026). Treat the 24–48 hours printed on other sites as unconfirmed, and ask through Support, then Raise a Ticket, if a catalog sits in QC for long.

What image size does Meesho require to pass QC?

Meesho does not publish a pixel size, file size or format on its public supplier pages; it says the detailed image guidelines are in the Supplier Panel (checked 4 October 2026). Its single-upload lesson asks for a sharp, clear image of the front of the product.

Why are my catalogs not visible in the Meesho shop?

Usually because they have not passed Quality Check yet. Meesho says a catalog becomes live once it passes QC, so check its status in the Supplier Panel; if it shows QC Failed, read the error and re-upload (Meesho learning hub, read 4 October 2026).
