Meesho bulk listing template: what is in the Excel file
The template is an Excel file for one category: instructions in the first tab, catalog details in the second. Meesho’s rule for the columns: “Columns with a red coloured top row are mandatory to fill. Columns filled with a green coloured top row are recommended to fill.” It also says to “avoid long descriptions while filling out product details to avoid rejection”(bulk upload lesson, read 4 Oct 2026).
Because the template belongs to a category, pick the category first; Meesho’s upload order is category, then images, then details like price and GST. A wrong category is one of the QC errors Meesho names. For the HSN and GST columns, the HSN code finder looks up codes for apparel, footwear, accessories and jewellery.
Our advice: keep one style code per design with one row per size or colour, and give every row its own SKU ID, because “Duplicate SKU ID and Product ID Error” and “SKU ID error” are on Meesho’s QC list.
Meesho bulk listing images: links, not files
The sheet holds image links, and Meesho tells you where to make them: upload the photos in the “Images Bulk Upload” section and paste the generated links into the template(bulk upload lesson, read 4 Oct 2026). Links from anywhere else risk the “Image Link Error”.
Meesho publishes no pixel size, file size or format on its public supplier pages; it says the detailed image guidelines are in the Supplier Panel. Read them there before a big upload. To make a whole folder square in one pass, our Meesho image resizer outputs 1000 × 1000, 800 × 800 or 500 × 500 px JPGs on white, and the Meesho image generator puts each photo on a 1000 × 1000 white square with a margin. Those are our tools’ sizes, not Meesho rules (source: the two tools’ own code, last checked 4 Oct 2026). Selling the same range on Flipkart? The Flipkart image resizer does the same for Flipkart.
Rename photos by SKU before uploading (KRT-RED-L-004.jpg, not IMG_2026.jpg), so each link goes into the right row.
Meesho bulk listing errors: fixing the error file
When QC raises errors on a bulk catalog, Meesho’s fix is to “download the error file on the Supplier Panel”, read the Error Status and Error Message columns, “make changes to your original file”, and upload it again with “upload new file” on the QC Error page (Meesho QC lesson, read 4 Oct 2026).
Meesho names six QC errors: Wrong Category, Duplicate SKU ID and Product ID, SKU ID, Image Link, Product Description and Image Upload. Each one, with the fix, is on our Meesho catalog rejected page.
Our advice for a first bulk upload: send five rows before five hundred. A mistake in a five-row file costs one re-upload; the same mistake in a full file comes back as an error list for every row.
Meesho bulk listing or single upload?
For a handful of products, single upload is quicker: Catalog Upload → Add Single Catalog, pick a template, add the front image and fill the details page (Meesho single upload lesson, read 4 Oct 2026). The bulk sheet pays off when many rows share the same attributes, such as one design in five sizes and three colours. Bulk work across Meesho, Flipkart and Amazon.in is compared in our bulk product upload guide; every Meesho stage is on the Meesho seller hub. To skip the sheet and have the catalog form filled from a photo, see auto listing for Meesho.
