How to convert a PDF into JPG
- Tap the upload box above and choose the PDF from your phone or computer.
- Move the quality slider first if you want smaller files (it starts at 92%).
- Wait while every page is drawn; a grid of page previews appears.
- Tap ↓ JPG under a page to save that page, or Download All to save every page as a separate JPG.
If your browser asks whether this site may download several files, allow it; Download All saves one file per page rather than a ZIP.
PDF to high quality JPG: what size comes out
The converter draws each page at 144 pixels per inch of the page’s printed size, twice the 72 points per inch a PDF uses to measure pages. The pixel size is fixed; the slider only trades file size against JPG compression.
| PDF page | Page size | JPG size from this tool |
|---|---|---|
| A4 page | 210 × 297 mm (8.27 × 11.69 in) | about 1,190 × 1,684 px |
| Any other page | width × height in inches | each side × 144 px |
Source: the converter’s code (pdf.js scale 2.0, JPG quality slider 50–100%, default 92%), checked 18 Oct 2026; A4 is 210 × 297 mm under ISO 216 and an inch is 25.4 mm.
A scanned PDF cannot gain detail on the way out: if the scan inside it was blurry, the JPG is the same blur at 144 px per inch. For a smaller file to email or upload, lower the slider before converting, or run the JPG through the image compressor afterwards.
PDF to JPEG: is it the same thing?
Yes. JPG and JPEG are the same format; the shorter name comes from old three-letter file extensions. A form that asks for “JPEG only” accepts the .jpg files this converter saves. Pages are drawn on a white background, so a PDF with a transparent page comes out white, not black.
Converting a PDF to an image file: what this converter does not do
- It converts every page; there is no page-range box. Save only the pages you need.
- It saves JPG only, not PNG, and does not bundle pages into a ZIP.
- A password-protected PDF will not open; remove the password in the app that made it, then try again.
- Going the other way, photos into one PDF, is the images to PDF converter.
PDF to JPG converter: common questions
How do I convert a PDF to JPG?
Tap the upload box and pick the PDF. Every page is converted in your browser, then you save each page as a JPG, or all of them with Download All (one file per page).
Is PDF to JPEG the same as PDF to JPG?
Yes. JPG and JPEG are two names for the same image format. The files this tool saves end in .jpg, and any app or form that asks for JPEG accepts them.
What resolution are the JPG pages?
Each page is drawn at 144 pixels per inch of page size, so an A4 page comes out at about 1,190 × 1,684 px (tool code and A4 = 210 × 297 mm, checked 18 Oct 2026). The size is fixed; the quality slider changes only the JPG compression.
Can I convert only some pages?
The tool converts every page of the PDF. After conversion each page has its own download button, so save just the pages you need.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is opened and drawn by pdf.js inside your browser tab, and the JPGs are made there too. Nothing is sent to StitchMagic.
