Image Upscaler — Enlarge a Photo 2× or 4×

Doubles or quadruples width and height, sharpens, and saves a JPG up to 3,840 px on the long edge. No signup is needed to download.

Output is capped at 3,840 px on the long edge.

How to upscale an image

  1. Upload a JPG, PNG or WEBP photo in the box above.
  2. Pick 2× or 4×. 2× doubles width and height; 4× multiplies both by four.
  3. Set Sharpen strength. Low suits faces and smooth fabric; Off keeps the resampled photo as it is.
  4. Tap Upscale. The result card shows the new pixel size and KB before you download.

What an image upscaler can and cannot do

Upscaling adds pixels by estimating the colours between the ones you have, then sharpening restores some edge contrast. That is enough to meet a minimum pixel size or print a photo larger. It cannot add real detail: a 400 px photo of an embroidered blouse enlarged 4× shows the same embroidery, just bigger. This tool does not change colours, so product shades stay as they were shot.

Upscale image for print and listings: common problems

  • Result still looks soft: the original had little detail. Try 2× instead of 4×, and start from the largest original you have.
  • White halos along edges: lower Sharpen strength to Low or Off.
  • Text or a logo looks smudged: resampling blurs fine lettering; recreate text rather than upscaling it.
  • File too big to upload: reduce it with the image compressor.
  • iPhone HEIC photo will not open: share it as JPG from Photos first.

Image upscaler or increase image size?

Use this upscaler when you need more pixels. If a form rejects your photo for being too small in KB, use increase image size instead. For fixed 720p, 1080p or 4K frames, use the HD photo converter; to fix light and colour rather than size, try the photo enhancer.

Image upscaler FAQ

Does this image upscaler use AI?

No. It enlarges the photo with the browser’s high-quality resampling and then sharpens edges. It does not use a generative model, so it never invents detail such as new fabric threads or facial features that were not in the original.

What is the largest image it makes?

The long edge of the output is capped at 3,840 px. A 1000 × 1000 photo at 4× would be 4000 × 4000, so it comes out at 3840 × 3840 instead.

Will upscaling make a blurry photo sharp?

Only a little. Sharpening helps a slightly soft photo, but motion blur or a missed focus cannot be recovered. Upscaling makes the photo larger, not more detailed.

Does upscaling make an image 300 DPI for printing?

DPI is pixels divided by print size. An A4 page at 300 DPI needs 2480 × 3508 px, so upscale until the photo has about that many pixels, then print it at A4. The file’s DPI tag and colour space are not changed.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. The photo is enlarged and sharpened on a canvas in your browser; the image file is not sent to StitchMagic.

Photo ka size kaise badhaye bina blur ke?

Photo upload kijiye, 2× ya 4× chuniye aur Upscale dabaiye. Photo ki width aur height badh jaati hai aur halki sharpening lagti hai. Agar form KB mein size maangta hai to increase image size tool use kijiye.
