Meesho saree returns 2026: why buyers send sarees back, and the fix for each

By StitchMagic team · Last checked 17 October 2026

Most saree returns on Meesho come back to what the listing promised: colour, fabric, length and blouse piece. Each one costs the supplier a return shipping fee based on weight, so the cheapest fix is a listing that matches the saree.

Colour or fabric looks different from the photoThe shade is duller or brighter than the photo, or the fabric looks cheaper than it did on screen.Shoot in daylight, do not push saturation, and add one close-up of the fabric and border. Meesho image resizer

Frequently asked questions

Why do Meesho sarees get returned?

In our reading, mostly because the saree that arrives differs from the listing: colour, fabric, length or a missing blouse piece. Damage in transit, late delivery, a wrong item and finishing faults make up most of the rest.

What is the return rate for sarees on Meesho?

Meesho publishes no category return rate that we could cite, and we have no verified sample, so we print none. Check your own sarees in the Quality Dashboard in the Supplier Panel.

Does Meesho charge the seller when a saree is returned?

Yes, for a customer return: Meesho's shipping page says the seller is charged a return shipping fee based on the weight of the shipment (retrieved 4 October 2026). The fee is shown in each product's details in the Supplier Panel.

Does Meesho charge for an RTO saree?

No. Meesho's pricing page says it will not charge a return shipping fee for any RTOs; the shipping partner attempts delivery three times before the parcel comes back (retrieved 4 October 2026).

What if the buyer says the wrong saree arrived?

Meesho's penalties lesson says that for an empty box, missing product or wrong item you will have to refund the customer (retrieved 4 October 2026). Matching the SKU to the label and photographing the packed parcel is your protection.
