Bedsheet manufacturer in Jaipur: why buyers go to Sanganer
For block-printed bedsheets, start in Sanganer. Incredible India’s Sanganeri hand block printing page says the craft “originated in Sanganer, a small village near Jaipur”, prized for fine printing on white and off-white fabrics, and lists bedspreads, quilts, cushion covers and tablecloths beside sarees and salwar suits.
Bedsheet makers list themselves on Textile Infomedia and IndiaMART as block-print manufacturers. Those listings are self-written, so we print no names: treat each as a lead to phone, not an endorsement.
Ask any bedsheet maker four things. Hand block or screen? Which cotton, and what thread count do they claim? Exact size in inches, flat and fitted? Will this print repeat next month? Jaipur block print: Sanganeri, Bagru and Kota Doria
These three Rajasthan textile names appear on official GI lists. Incredible India describes Sanganeri designs carved into seasoned teak blocks that are dipped in natural dyes.

Bagru is a separate printing village; Kota Doria is woven, not printed. Name whichever one a piece really is.
Hand block print or screen print: check before you pay
Printed imitations of hand work are fine to sell and wrong to describe as hand work. Two checks tell them apart at Sanganer counters, and one rule covers imitations.
Back of the fabric
Turn the piece over and ask how it was printed: hand block, screen or digital. A print that is crisp on its face and faint or blank behind deserves that question before you pay at any Sanganer counter.
Repeats
Machine printing repeats at exact intervals. Hand block work shows small shifts where each block was placed by hand, and those shifts are your evidence for any “hand block” claim in a Meesho title.
Labelling an imitation honestly
Genuine bandhani leaves small puckered tie points; printed bandhani does not. Sell both if you like, but write “bandhani print” for prints on Meesho and keep “hand-tied” for real tie-dye.
Wholesalers in Jaipur: planning the buying trip
- Decide: walled-city bazaar or Sanganer. Textile Infomedia lists Bapu, Johari, Nehru and other bazaars for textiles; block print and bedsheets mean Sanganer.
- Go Monday to Saturday. Rajasthan Tourism says markets are generally closed on Sundays.
- Use Jaipur Metro to Badi Chaupar or Chhoti Chaupar stations for the Chaupar stalls Rajasthan Tourism names.
- Compare 3 sources on technique, not price alone.
- Ask rates at your quantity, and whether that block or screen is kept for reorders.
- Photograph your transport docket before bundles leave Jaipur.
